Why is Christ's fulfillment of the law important for Christians?

The significance of Christ fulfilling the law cannot be overstated for Christians. As Romans 10:4 states, 'For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.' This indicates that the requirements of the law are fully met in Christ, thus freeing us from the obligation to achieve righteousness through our own efforts.
