Why is Christ's humanity important for our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's humanity is crucial because He had to fully identify with us to be our effective substitute (Hebrews 2:14-17).

Hebrews 2:14-17 teaches that Christ took on human flesh to be like His brethren and serve as a merciful and faithful high priest. His humanity allows Him to fully identify with our struggles and sufferings, providing a perfect substitute who understands our condition. By living a life of obedience and experiencing temptation, He fulfilled the requirements of the law for us, thus making Him the only mediator capable of reconciling us to God.
