Why is Christ's incarnation critical to redemption?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's incarnation is critical because He became fully human to represent us and fulfill the law on our behalf.

The incarnation of Christ is essential for redemption as it enables Him to fully identify with humanity while retaining His divine nature. As stated in Hebrews, it was necessary for Christ to be made like His brethren in all things in order to become a merciful and faithful high priest. By entering into our experience, He lived a sinless life and fulfilled the requirements of God’s law perfectly. This perfect obedience allowed Him to be the only worthy sacrifice for our sins. Thus, through the incarnation, Christ not only becomes our representative but also secures our redemption by fulfilling justice and righteousness on our behalf.
