Why is Christ's incarnation important for Christians?

Answered in 9 sources

Christ's incarnation is essential as it provides the foundation for our salvation through His perfect obedience and atonement (Galatians 4:4-5).

The incarnation of Christ is of utmost importance for Christians because it signifies God entering into human history to bring about redemption. Galatians 4:4-5 states that 'when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem those who were under the law.' This moment marks the initiation of God's redemptive plan through His Son, who fulfilled the law perfectly and offered Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. Without the incarnation, there would be no atonement, and thus no hope for humanity. It emphasizes the depth of God's love and commitment to His creation, establishing Jesus as both Savior and mediator.
