Why is Christ's mediatorship important for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's mediatorship is essential as He alone can perfectly represent His people before God, fulfilling the law and atoning for their sins.

Christ serves as the only mediator between God and man, making Him indispensable for salvation. According to 1 Timothy 2:5, 'There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.' Without Christ's mediatorial work, no sinner could stand before a holy God. He fulfilled the law's requirements on behalf of His people, bore their sins on the Cross, and reconciled them to God. This means that all who believe in Christ are justified and accepted, not based on their works but solely through His righteousness and intercession.
