Why is Christ's obedience to the law necessary?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's obedience is necessary to fulfill the law on behalf of His people, as stated in Romans 8:3-4.

Romans 8:3-4 explains that God, sending His Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, fulfilled the righteousness of the law through Christ's active obedience. This was essential for our justification, as He not only died to pay the penalty for sin but also lived a life of perfect obedience to the law. His righteousness is imputed to believers, allowing them to be seen as righteous before God. Therefore, both Christ's life and death were necessary for salvation.
