Why is Christ's resurrection important for believers?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's resurrection is crucial as it signifies that believers have been raised with Him and thus empower their new lives.

The resurrection of Christ is foundational for the believer's faith as it not only confirms Christ's victory over sin and death but also assures believers of their own resurrection and new life in Him. According to Colossians 3:3, believers are said to be dead in Christ but also to be raised with Him. This transformation compels them to live according to their new nature—seeking heavenly things rather than worldly ones. The resurrection thus becomes the believer's source of hope and motivation for holy living, driven by the new life imparted through the Holy Spirit.
