Why is Christ's role central to the Gospel?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is central to the Gospel because He is the Savior who fulfilled God's redemptive plan.

The Gospel proclaims Christ as central, presenting Him as the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world, as noted in John 1:29. Throughout scripture, beginning in Genesis and continuing to Revelation, the theme remains Christ-centric. He is both the sacrifice and the high priest, embodying both roles in His saving work. Furthermore, in Acts 4:12, we see there’s no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, reinforcing that the Gospel is solely about Him.
