Why is Christ's sacrifice important in worship?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrifice is central to worship, as true worship necessitates the acknowledgment of His atonement for sin.

Christ's sacrifice is fundamentally essential to Christian worship because, as Abraham highlighted, there is no true worship without a blood offering. In Hebrews 9:22, we read that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. This means that our approach to God in worship must be underpinned by the understanding that Christ's atoning death fulfills the requirements of justice on our behalf. Worship that excludes the cross lacks the foundation necessary for a relationship with God. Therefore, our songs, prayers, and expressions of reverence must always reflect the centrality of Christ's sacrifice and the hope it brings to those who believe.
