Why is Christ's sacrifice superior to the old sacrifices?

Answered in 1 source

Christ's sacrifice is superior because it was made once for all and achieved eternal redemption, unlike the repetitive old sacrifices.

In Hebrews 10:10, we learn that we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. The sacrifices under the Old Covenant were merely shadows of the reality found in Christ. They were unable to truly make the worshippers perfect because they had to be repeated annually; in contrast, Christ's sacrifice was sufficient to cleanse our consciences and secure eternal redemption. The blood of bulls and goats could not take away sins, as emphasized in Hebrews 10:4, highlighting the necessity for a perfect, sinless offering, which we see fulfilled in Jesus.
