Why is Christ the source of our spiritual life?

Answered in 1 source

Christ is the source of our spiritual life because without Him, we can do nothing and we find our spiritual sustenance in Him (John 15:5).

According to John 15:5, our Lord states, "Without me, ye can do nothing." This underscores the reality that all spiritual life and energy come from Christ. He is the vine, and we are the branches, fully dependent on Him for sustenance and growth. Additionally, in John 17:3, eternal life is defined as knowing the one true God and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent. This knowledge results in a relationship that provides meaning, purpose, and vitality in the believer's life.
