Why is Christ the source of victorious faith?

Christ is the object and source of our faith, as indicated in 1 John 5:5, which states that it is the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God who overcomes the world. Understanding that Christ has already triumphed over sin and death provides believers with confidence and hope. This victory is not achieved through our own efforts or righteousness but through faith that trusts in Christ's finished work at the cross. By uniting us with His victory, Christ assures us that we are more than conquerors in our spiritual battles, solidifying our identity and inheritance in Him.
