Why is church accountability important for Christians?

Accountability within the church serves to encourage believers in their walk with Christ, prevents sin from taking root, and fosters an environment where members can grow together in faith. In Hebrews 10:24-25, believers are urged to stir one another up to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together.
