Why is church important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

The church is vital for Christians as it is where God's presence is uniquely experienced and where believers gather to grow in faith.

Church plays an essential role in the life of Christians as it represents a unique dwelling place of God. The scripture teaches that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is present among them. This special presence of Christ is felt most profoundly during the preaching of the Word and communal worship. It offers believers an oasis, a refuge from the world where they can praise God and encourage one another. The longing for fellowship within the church is highlighted by the psalmist's expression of yearning for the courts of the Lord, underscoring that the spirit of God's people naturally desires to be in community and fellowship with likeminded believers.
