Why is coming to Christ important for peace?

Answered in 1 source

Coming to Christ is crucial for peace as He alone offers rest from our burdens.

Coming to Christ is vital for achieving true peace because He alone can bear our burdens and provide relief from our struggles. Matthew 11:28 emphasizes the need for individuals to recognize their labor and heaviness and to turn to Jesus, who is the source of true rest. The promise of rest signifies not just relief from physical exhaustion, but, more profoundly, liberation from sin and the accompanying guilt and shame. It is through this act of coming that we participate in the grace He offers, resting in His completed work on our behalf, which brings about a peace that surpasses understanding. In surrendering our needs and trusting in Him, we find our souls anchored in His grace and mercy.
