Why is confidence in Christ important for Christians?

Answered in 6 sources

Confidence in Christ is vital for Christians as it enables them to live boldly, worship freely, and face life's challenges without fear.

Confidence rooted in Christ transforms a believer's life. It instills a sense of assurance and peace, allowing individuals to engage in their faith actively rather than being paralyzed by doubt or insecurity. In Hebrews 10:35, believers are encouraged not to cast away their confidence, which has great recompense of reward. This reward encompasses both present joy and eternal fellowship with God.

Furthermore, confidence impacts how believers interact with the world. The boldness to witness effectively and to proclaim the gospel is a direct result of a deep-seated trust in Christ's promises and the security of our identity in Him. Ephesians 3:12 states that in Christ, we have boldness and access with confidence through faith. This boldness translates into actionable faith that compels Christians to live sacrificially and to engage with others without fear of rejection or opposition.
