Why is death viewed differently for believers?

Answered in 1 source

For believers, death is seen as a passage to eternal life, not an end.

Death holds a different significance for believers compared to non-believers due to the promise of eternal life through Christ. While it is appointed for all to die, for believers, death is not the end of existence but a transition to eternal union with God. As Paul states in Philippians 1:21, for him to live is Christ, and to die is gain. This perspective alleviates the fear associated with death, as believers understand that it brings them closer to their Creator, where they will experience a fullness of joy and peace forever in His presence.
