Why is encouragement important for Christians today?

Answered in 1 source

Encouragement is vital for Christians to remain steadfast amidst trials and opposition.

Encouragement is crucial as Christians face various challenges, including sin, Satan, and the influences of the world. Just as the Israelites were discouraged during their rebuilding efforts, many today may feel overwhelmed by their struggles. The church is called to be a source of encouragement, reminding each other of God's promises and presence. With Christ as our source of strength and our assurance that He has overcome the world (John 16:33), we can remain hopeful and resilient, contributing to the overall health and mission of the church, which is to proclaim the gospel.
