Why is faith essential in a believer's life?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is essential as it is the means through which we are saved and empowered to do God's work.

Faith is described as the instrument of salvation and the means by which we please God. In John 14, Jesus repeatedly emphasizes the importance of believing in Him and His works. Salvation and the ability to accomplish anything for the kingdom of God are intrinsically tied to our faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, as it derives from a trust in His promises and a belief in His power. This foundational belief enables believers to boldly request in Christ’s name, knowing that God will answer according to His will.
