Why is faith essential in a Christian's life?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is essential as it is the means by which we embrace Christ and His finished work for our salvation.

Faith is fundamental to the Christian life as articulated in Hebrews 11:1, where faith is defined as the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Through faith, believers are able to grasp the gospel message of salvation through Christ, relying not on their works but on His completed atonement. True saving faith transforms the believer’s perspective, allowing them to recognize their own sinfulness and the sufficiency of Christ’s sacrifice. It connects us to the grace of God whereby we are justified and given eternal life.
