Why is faith essential in the Christian life?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is essential because it is the means through which believers receive God's grace and recognize Christ as their only hope.

Faith is central to the Christian experience as it connects us to the grace of God. Romans 4:16 explains that our salvation is by faith to ensure that it is based on God's promise and grace rather than human effort. Faith acknowledges our utter dependence on Christ, rejoicing in His completed work for our salvation. This obedience of faith, as seen in James 2, produces works that reflect the transformative power of the Gospel in a believer’s life. It is through faith that we are empowered to trust God fully, which leads to genuine love for Him and His people.
