Why is faith important during times of suffering?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is critical as it shapes our understanding of God's purposes in our suffering and helps us to see His glory.

Faith is portrayed in John 11 as essential for experiencing the fullness of God's glory. Jesus tells Martha that if she believes, she will see the glory of God revealed. Our faith grants us insight into God's character, His omnipotence, and His gracious intentions in our suffering. Instead of seeing trials as mere hardships, faith enables believers to discern God's sovereign hand at work, fostering a deeper relationship with Him. Through faith, we learn to trust in God's timing and goodness, even when circumstances seem dire or hopeless.
