The leper's approach to Jesus exemplifies this as he acknowledged his helpless condition and sought cleansing in the hands of the Savior. Faith helps us recognize our inability to remedy our sinful state and positions us to respond to God's call for repentance and reliance on His mercy. Therefore, genuine faith will always lead to a deeper dependence on Christ and His redemptive work, ensuring that we do not rely on our own works or efforts for salvation.
