Why is faith important for Christians right now?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is crucial for Christians now as it represents our active trust in Christ for salvation and righteousness in the present moment.

Faith is not merely a past commitment but a continuous reliance on Christ in the present. The Bible teaches that faith and repentance are always current; Romans 8:1 says, 'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.' This emphasizes that our faith affects our current standing before God. Rather than dwelling on past experiences or waiting for future moments to express belief, Christians are called to engage in faith right now. This present faith assures us of God’s grace and enables us to navigate trials with the assurance of salvation and continual justification through Christ. The life we live as believers is informed by a faith that is continually trusting in Jesus.
