Why is faith important for Christians when approaching Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is crucial as it opens the way for believers to receive Christ's righteousness and redemption.

Faith acts as the means through which we approach Christ, as seen in Ruth's trust in Naomi's instructions. It is through faith that we acknowledge our spiritual need and seek Christ as the source of our redemption. Scripture teaches that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), reinforcing the necessity of believing in Christ's work on our behalf. Only in faith can we find the rest for our souls that Christ promises, leading to our justification and acceptance before God.
