Why is faith important for Christians when approaching Christ?

It is through faith that we acknowledge our spiritual need and seek Christ as the source of our redemption. Scripture teaches that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), reinforcing the necessity of believing in Christ's work on our behalf.
