Why is faith important for seeing God's glory?

Answered in 2 sources

Faith acts as a window through which believers can glimpse God's glory, even if imperfectly.

Faith serves as one of the precious 'windows of agates' through which believers experience a dim yet valuable illumination of God's presence. Despite the fact that faith is often clouded by doubts and imperfections, it still allows us to perceive the beauty and holiness of God, similar to how agate allows some light to pass while distorting the view. In times of suffering, our faith can allow us to see Christ's love and compassion, softening our understanding of His glory in a way we can bear. Therefore, while faith may not grant us perfect clarity, it is essential for nurturing our relationship with God and ultimately leads us to long for a clearer vision of Him.
