Why is faith important in believing God's promises?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is the means by which believers lay hold of God's promises and experience His grace.

Faith is central to the Christian life and serves as the conduit through which we access the promises of God. In Matthew 9:27-29, Jesus emphasizes the importance of believing in His ability to heal, stating, 'According to your faith, be it unto you.' This illustrates that while faith is a gift from God, it is through exercising that faith that we appropriate the promises offered in Scripture. Our doubts and fears can often lead us to miss out on the fullness of what God provides; thus, believing is vital to receiving His grace and assurances in our lives.
