Why is faith important in obtaining salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is essential as it is the means by which we receive God's grace for salvation.

Faith in Jesus Christ is crucial for salvation because it is through faith that we access the grace of God. Hebrews 11:6 states that he who comes to God must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him. Faith acknowledges our sinfulness, our need for a Savior, and trusts in Christ's sacrifice as sufficient for our salvation. Without faith, we cannot please God or receive His promise of salvation, as it is impossible to receive what we do not actively believe.
