Why is faith important in the context of healing and salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is crucial, for it is through faith that we receive God's healing grace and salvation.

Faith is the channel through which God’s grace and healing are bestowed upon the believer. In the context of the healing narratives, we see that the individuals often did not possess a prior acknowledgment of Christ; however, their healing led to faith as they encountered the Savior. The healing of the man at the pool of Bethesda exemplifies this; his initial lack of understanding did not prevent God's grace from reaching him. Ultimately, the act of healing serves not just to restore physical health but to awaken faith and lead individuals to a deeper spiritual relationship with Christ. This reflects the belief that genuine faith prompts a transformative response—a move from spiritual death to spiritual life.
