Why is faith important when facing difficulties?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is crucial as it anchors us during life's storms and assures us of God's presence and promises.

Faith acts as the believer's anchor during the tempests of life; it reminds us of God's faithfulness and His promises that He will never forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). In trials, as seen when the disciples feared for their lives during the storm, it is easy to forget God's presence and His power. Yet, through faith, we are called to remember that He is always with us—'lo, I am with you always' (Matthew 28:20). Faith in Christ allows believers to face trials with the hope that our sufferings here are not in vain but are working for a greater glory (2 Corinthians 4:17). It is through each trial that our faith is tested, strengthened, and ultimately refined, enabling us to testify of God's goodness and grace.
