Why is faith in Christ essential for keeping God's law?

Answered in 1 source

Faith in Christ is essential because He perfectly fulfilled the law, and through faith, we are declared righteous before God.

Faith in Christ is indispensable for fulfilling the demands of God's law because we cannot achieve righteousness on our own (Romans 3:20). Christ came not to abolish the law, but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17). Through faith, believers are united with Him: His righteousness becomes ours, enabling us to stand before God without condemnation (Romans 8:1). Thus, while we are incapable of keeping the law, faith rests in Christ’s obedience and sacrifice, establishing the law rather than nullifying it (Romans 3:31).
