Why is faith in Christ important for parents and their children?

Answered in 1 source

Faith in Christ is essential because it is through Him that salvation is granted, not through our own works.

In Mark 9, we see how the father's faith, though weak, leads him to bring his son to Jesus for healing. This represents how important it is for parents to have faith in Christ as they navigate the spiritual needs of their children. The father admits, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief,' which reflects the reality of many believers – our faith may falter at times, but it is the object of our faith, Christ, who provides the necessary salvation. Parents are called to pray for their children, lifting them up to Christ, who is able to save them to the uttermost.
