Why is faith in God important for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is essential for salvation because it aligns us with God's truth and leads us away from the deception of our hearts.

Faith is the anchor of salvation as it trusts in the promises of God and acknowledges the provision of Christ. The Bible reveals that belief is the means through which we receive grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). Without faith, one is left in the deceit of their own heart, convinced of false peace despite living contrary to God's Word (Deuteronomy 29:19). Moreover, it is through faith that individuals are recognized as part of God's remnant, as only those who believe in Him will ultimately be saved. Hence, belief is not merely an abstract concept but a dynamic engagement with God's truth that transforms lives.
