Why is faith in God's word essential for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Faith in God's word is the foundation for understanding His will and receiving His promises.

In Exodus 5, Moses is tasked with delivering God's message to Pharaoh, but he faces immediate opposition, which causes doubt. However, God's promises provide the assurance that He will deliver His people. Similarly, in our lives today, faith in God's word is crucial because it enables us to confront uncertainties and remain steadfast amid challenges. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as 'the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.' Holding onto God's promises assures us of our hope in Christ and gives us the strength to persevere in our spiritual journey. True faith aligns our hearts with God's will, trusting in His redemptive plan.
