Why is faith in Jesus essential for Christians?

Faith is critical in a Christian's life because it is the means through which we connect to Jesus, who is our source of life and salvation. Hebrews 11:1 describes faith as 'the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.' This faith is not a blind leap but a deeply rooted confidence in Christ and His promises. As believers, we are continually called to look towards Him, realizing that apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Therefore, our ongoing relationship with Christ requires us to place our trust solely in Him, recognizing that He fulfills all our spiritual needs.
