Why is faith with works important for Christians?

Answered in 1 source

Faith with works is crucial as it reflects the reality of one's faith and the transformative power of grace.

For Christians, faith without works is inadequate because it fails to demonstrate the authenticity of their relationship with Christ. James highlights that just as the body is dead without the spirit, so too is faith without works (James 2:26). True saving faith naturally produces good works as evidence of the change brought about by the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life. This is important as it not only affirms the believer's own faith but also serves as a testimony to others of the transformative power of the Gospel, as Christians are called to be lights in the world (Matthew 5:16).
