Why is gathering together important for Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

Gathering together is vital for Christians as it fosters encouragement, growth in faith, and unity in purpose as we await Christ's return.

The importance of gathering together as Christians is underscored in Hebrews 10:24-25. Believers are called to not forsake the assembling of themselves, as this communal experience is essential for mutual exhortation and growth in faith. In the fellowship of believers, we encourage one another to love and good works, particularly as we observe the signs of Christ's imminent return. This gathering becomes even more critical in times of discouragement, providing an environment where faith can flourish. Moreover, worshipping together strengthens our shared hope and prepares us for the challenges we face, serving as a reminder of our collective commitment to Christ and the support He provides through His body, the Church.
