Why is God's sovereignty crucial in understanding His will?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty ensures that His will is unchangeable and ultimately good for His creation.

God's sovereignty is fundamental to the understanding of His will because it assures us that all things happen according to His divine purpose. The scriptures affirm that God works all things according to the counsel of His will (Ephesians 1:11), demonstrating that nothing occurs outside of His divine decree. This sovereignty provides a framework within which believers can trust in God's plan, even in challenging circumstances. Moreover, acknowledging God's rule over all creation reinforces our dependence on Him, reminding us that His will, even when difficult to understand, is ultimately for our good and part of His perfect plan for redemption. Thus, God's sovereignty leads us to a place of peace and security amidst life's uncertainties.
