Why is gospel conversion important for understanding the law?

Answered in 1 source

Gospel conversion is essential as it changes our relationship to the law from condemnation to grace (Romans 7:24-25).

Gospel conversion profoundly transforms our understanding of the law. Before knowing Christ, we are bound to the law and enter a constant cycle of failure and guilt, as the law condemns our sinful nature. However, through gospel conversion, we recognize that Christ has fulfilled the law on our behalf, allowing us to enjoy a relationship with God free from condemnation. This new perspective enables us to approach the law not as a means to achieve righteousness but as an expression of God’s character that we delight in, despite our ongoing struggle with sin.
