Why is grace foundational in worship?

Answered in 1 source

Grace is foundational in worship as it recognizes that we approach God not by our merit but through His unmerited favor.

Grace is central to Christian worship because it highlights our complete dependence on God for acceptance and relationship. As outlined in Psalm 103, God’s benefits to us flow from His grace, which means we do not earn His favor through our actions or religiousness. Rather, we are invited into His presence because of Christ's redemptive work. This foundation of grace enables us to worship authentically, knowing that our worthiness comes from Him alone, thus transforming our hearts to genuinely praise Him.
