Why is grace important in finding rest?

Answered in 1 source

Grace is vital because it teaches us that we are saved through faith, not by our works (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Grace is the unmerited favor of God, and it is vital for finding true rest for our souls. Without grace, we might strive to earn our salvation through works, leading to exhaustion and despair. Ephesians 2:8-9 emphasizes that salvation is by grace through faith, allowing us to rest from the works that the law demands. Recognizing that it is God's grace that brings us to Christ liberates us from the burden of trying to achieve righteousness on our own. In Christ, we find rest, knowing that our salvation is secure because it is based on His finished work.
