Why is grace important in the life of a Christian?

Answered in 1 source

Grace is essential for Christians as it empowers them to live a life that pleases God and overcomes sin.

Grace represents the unmerited favor of God that enables believers to live holy lives. In Romans 7, Paul discusses how grace liberates the believer from the law’s condemnation while simultaneously providing the power to overcome sin. It transforms the way believers engage with God's commands; rather than under compulsion, they obey out of love and gratitude. This grace also affirms the believer's identity in Christ and offers assurance of their eternal relationship with God. It is this grace that not only saves but also sanctifies, allowing Christians to navigate their struggles with sin while still progressing in holiness.
