Why is having wisdom essential for Christians?

Wisdom is presented in the Bible as the principal thing to seek after: 'Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom' (Proverbs 4:7). For Christians, wisdom empowers them to make decisions that align with God's will and to navigate the difficulties of life with a God-centered perspective. Additionally, wisdom is directly associated with understanding the nature of sin and righteousness, as well as recognizing the distractions and temptations that can lead us away from God. Therefore, pursuing wisdom is fundamental to living a life that reflects one's faith and hope in Christ, leading to eternal treasures in Heaven rather than temporary pleasures on Earth.
