Why is holiness emphasized in heaven?

Answered in 1 source

Holiness signifies the complete purity and separation of God from all sin.

In Revelation 4, the holiness of God takes center stage, represented by the seraphim who proclaim, 'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.' This emphasis on holiness highlights God's complete separation from sin and His utter perfection. God's holiness is what sets Him apart from all of creation and is the essence of His nature. As His people, believers are called to be holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16), striving for purity and righteousness in their lives. Understanding God’s holiness transforms how believers approach worship and moral living, knowing that all sin is incompatible with His nature and that a genuine relationship with God compels us to pursue holiness.
