Why is humility crucial in the process of restoration?

Answered in 1 source

Humility is vital as it allows restorers to approach others with grace, recognizing their own vulnerabilities.

Paul instructs believers to approach restoration with humility and meekness, considering their own potential for sinfulness. This self-awareness prevents arrogance and judgmental attitudes, which can hinder the restoration process. When believers see themselves as nothing apart from Christ’s righteousness, they can more gently and lovingly restore those who have fallen. This humility is a fruit of the Spirit, essential for mending relationships within the body of Christ. It enables believers to show compassion to one another and fosters an environment where it is safe to confess sins and seek help, reflecting the grace that God has extended to them.
