Why is humility important among Christians?

Answered in 2 sources

Humility is vital among Christians to prevent conceit and promote genuine brotherly love and support (Galatians 6:3).

Paul warns against the danger of conceit in Galatians 6:3, stating that if anyone thinks themselves to be something when they are nothing, they deceive themselves. Humility is critical as it fosters an environment of love and accountability within the church. Recognizing that all that we have and are is a gift from God helps us to remain grounded and to serve one another selflessly. This attitude prevents the pharisaical tendency to judge others harshly and encourages believers to bear one another's burdens with kindness and grace.
