Why is individual peace important for Christians?

Individual peace affects a believer's relationship with God, as true peace can only flow from being at harmony with Him. According to scripture, the way of peace is often obscured by our sinful nature, and without acknowledging Christ as our peace, we cannot experience true tranquility (Isaiah 59:8, Romans 3:17). This personal peace is foundational to offering peace to others within the community of faith, as expressed in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-14, where believers are encouraged to maintain harmony among themselves, promoting love and understanding as a reflection of the peace given to us through Christ.
