Why is intimate communion with Christ important for believers?

Answered in 1 source

Intimate communion with Christ enables believers to grow in faith, love, and understanding.

Intimate communion with Christ is vital for believers as it fosters spiritual growth and deepens our relationship with Him. As believers sit at the feet of Christ, like Mary in Luke 10:39, they are nourished by His Word and receive understanding and comfort. This closeness enhances our ability to trust in His grace during trials and tribulations, as we recognize that His love cannot be quenched by any adversity (Song of Solomon 8:7). Moreover, when we gather in His name, He promises to be present, and through that communal worship, we find support and encouragement, essential for our faith journey.
