Why is it a mistake to think I can worship God without going to church?

Answered in 1 source

Thinking one can worship God without church neglects the communal aspect of faith and the blessings of fellowship.

The belief that one can fully worship God outside the context of the church overlooks the biblical emphasis on community and accountability among believers. The church is designed as the body of Christ where each member plays a vital role (1 Corinthians 12). In Psalm 76, we see that gathering together in worship allows believers to experience God's presence collectively, drawing strength and encouragement from unity. Disregarding the church not only limits one’s spiritual growth but also reflects a misunderstanding of the corporate nature of worship where believers are called to spur one another on towards love and good deeds.
