Why is it crucial to treat all people with grace?

Answered in 1 source

It is crucial to treat all people with grace, as we don't know who might be among God's elect and who might respond positively to the gospel (Colossians 4:5).

Treating all people with grace is essential because we never know the state of a person's heart or their standing with God. Paul encourages believers to engage with 'them that are without' — those outside the faith — with kindness and grace, as they may one day be called into the fold. If we approach conversations and relationships with a careless attitude, we risk alienating those who may be receptive to the gospel. Every encounter could be pivotal for someone on the brink of salvation, reminding us that grace can lead to profound transformations, as God acts through our humble witness.
